Ses Salines has Bronze Age settlements including the Talaia Joana, which dates back to the 9th century. The 20th century St Bartholomew church was a famous landmark for sailors as it is visible from the sea. There is a weekly market on Thursday. The un-spoilt beaches and rocky coastline are perfect for a quieter day by the sea. Ideal for sailing, kayaking, snorkelling, scuba and famous for the salt flats and snowy salt mountains which produce over 15,000 tons of salt a year.
