About Formentor
Stunning peninsula in the north of Mallorca, including beach, lighthouse and lookout points
You reach Formentor from Puerto Pollensa, driving up a windy mountain road with incredible views all the way. First you reach the Mirador d'Albercutx where you can park and walk along the walkway to the lookout point at the end. You can drive, or walk, a further 2km up and you'll reach the Atalaya, the old watch tower, where you can enjoy incredible views over Puerto Pollensa, Formentor and across to Alcudia. If you continue along the road you'll reach the beautiful Formentor beach with the impressive Hotel Formentor, now reformed and owned by the Four Seasons Group. Keep going, for a further 10km and you come to the stunning Formentor lighthouse. There's a cafe open here during the summer season where you can sit and admire the view. This is a very popular route with cyclists, particularly during spring and autumn. Be aware that there are driving restrictions in force in the high season, and access to the lighthouse is only by bike or bus,
